The Art of Feeling
The ART OF FEELING
Mentorship Series ~ Feeling as a doorway to presence
6 week container ~ Nov 13 - Dec 18, 2025
For a long time, I didn’t know how to consciously feel. Like many of us, I leaned into other strengths. I developed my mind, my insight, my ability to name and understand what was happening. I reached for spiritual teachings and inner frameworks to help me make sense of experiences I didn’t yet know how to be with. That was necessary. It gave me something to hold on to. It helped me stay afloat when things felt too big or too unclear. But what I hadn’t yet learned and what eventually became one of the most important things I’ve come to know — was how to feel directly. Not to feel after I understood. Not to feel because it matched my beliefs. Not to wait for the feeling to make sense, or dismiss it when it didn’t. But to feel what’s here, exactly as it is. To let the body's experience be honestly allowed, without needing to change it, fix it, or fit it into a story.
What I’ve discovered is that there’s an intelligence in the sequence of things. When I allow myself to feel fully, and to stay with the raw aliveness of life force moving through me, something deeper happens.
Not every emotion carries a message, and not every feeling needs to lead somewhere. But some do. Some are holding soul-level recognitions that can’t be accessed through thought. And when those realizations come, if they come, they arise naturally, after the energy has moved, not before.
For me, this is how the most important recognitions arrived, that were not as answers I chased with the mind, but as clearings that revealed themselves after feeling had done its work.
The questions that drove my existence “What am I?” and “Why am I here?” were not concepts I figured out. They were truths I encountered once the layers of mental protection, stored experience, and spiritual framework had softened enough to let life move freely again. This is what feeling made possible.
The mind wants to understand before it feels. But the kind of understanding that transforms us and evolves our consciousness doesn’t come from thinking. It comes from presence and it arrives, if it needs to, through the body’s own knowing. This has been humbling. I had to learn to pause the mind long enough for the body to do what it knows. And when clarity does come, it comes not from the mind, but from our unconditioned presence.
This is the wisdom within feeling. The art of feeling is being with the rawness of life force energy before the mind comes in to label, explain, or manage it. It’s about meeting what arises without reshaping it. It’s about being in intimate contact with your own inner experience and allowing it to move however it needs to.
This has allowed me to live with more honesty. To be in the human experience without bypass or suppression. To stay present with life as a direct and ongoing encounter with the mystery and not as a concept of the mystery.
This is what Joanna Haines and I have been practicing with each other for years. We sit together in what’s real. We don’t fix or analyze. We stay in shared presence while life moves through, however it moves. We support each other in remaining attuned, even when it’s messy or doesn’t make sense.
This offering comes from that practice, and everything we’ve noticed through it. The Art of Feeling is a six-week live group mentorship grounded in this way of being.
It’s not about personal development. It’s not about understanding your past. It’s a space for returning to what’s real, in the body, in the moment. Unfelt feelings don’t just go away. They settle in. They shape how we see, how we relate, how we protect. Often, they become the background noise we don’t even realize we’re moving from. This unlived energy becomes self-identity.
For a long time, I feared that feeling my emotions would define me. But what actually held me captive was the refusal to feel. This space is for something different.A return to honesty.A return to presence.A return to the raw, intelligent movement of life inside you — just as it is
The Structure
This mentorship will include six live sessions, each one lasting two hours. Each session will include:
A short teaching or guided reflection to begin
An open space for live mentorship and real-time emotional processing
Group presence and witnessing
Space for integration and reflection
One person at a time may be supported more directly, but everyone in the group is engaged in their own inner journey. What one person brings often reflects something that is moving through the entire group. This is not just individual support — it is collective transformation.
The Focus
Each session will build on core themes that support emotional embodiment and presence. While themes will naturally emerge based on what is alive in the group, we may explore:
Beginning with the body as the foundation
Feeling without thinking or analyzing
Practicing presence through witnessing and being witnessed
Allowing emotions to move in the moment instead of storing them
Relearning how to feel safely and knowing when to ask for support
Letting sensation guide the process before insight arrives
Unraveling old stories and trusting the intelligence of the body
There is no need to search for something to process. Life brings us more than enough. The invitation is to meet what is already here — gently and with compassion.
Why Now
Unfelt feelings don’t disappear. They embed themselves into our tissues, shape our sense of self, and quietly influence how we relate to life.
Most of us weren’t taught how to feel — not truly. We learned to analyze, to manage, to spiritualize, or to tell stories that made things make sense. But the body doesn’t speak in explanations. It speaks in sensations, contractions, and impulses. It remembers what the mind has forgotten.
And when the right conditions are present — safety, attunement, presence — the body begins to release what it’s been holding. And sometimes, what moves isn’t just emotion. Sometimes it’s soul presence surfacing in its own time, through its own rhythm.
This mentorship is about creating those conditions. A steady space. A trustworthy field. A gentle and honest invitation to return to the body and allow what’s true to move, without needing it to make sense first.
It’s also about connection. Not surface-level community, but soul-level resonance. When one person begins to feel more freely, others begin to soften too. This is the subtle intelligence of shared presence. This is what becomes possible when we are witnessed without judgment, without fixing, without agenda.
The soul doesn’t speak through concepts. It speaks through presence. And when we listen through the body, something deeper can come alive.
